Saturday October 10, 2020 – Sequim, WA – After a rainy night, the sun broke through, as approximately 150 vehicles gathered in Sequim. The protest vehicle rally for Republican candidates was sponsored by The Clallam County Republican Party. County chair Sue Forde was delighted to see over 300 people at the rally. Forde is running for Representative 24th District, Position 1. “Everyone who came talked about how exciting it was to see so many people come out in support of our candidates,” Forde said.  “ Everyone had a great time putting candidate signs all over their cars and visiting with one another. It was a fun-filled day with a purpose – to show public support and have a ride! ”  A recommended voting guide was handed out to each participant.  It can be downloaded here:  https://clallamrepublicans.org/ballot/

As vehicles arrived, many people placed flags and posters on their vehicles. Brian Pruiett, candidate for Representative 24th District Position 2, and Connie Beauvais, running for the State Senate, also joined the caravan. Signs for Elizabeth Kresselmaier, running for Congressional District 6 and Governor candidate Loren Culp’s signs  were displayed, as well as Joshua Freed for Lt. Governor, as a write-in candidate, and Sue Kuehl Pederson for Commissioner of Public Lands. Flags were flown and also banners displayed for President Donald Trump and others.

The caravan drove through Sequim and then on to Port Angeles. As the vehicles  returned from Port Angeles, they drove a second time through Sequim. They were met with many enthusiastic Trump supporters on all four corners of Sequim Avenue and Washington Street. Many people said, “let’s do this again”. Plans are being considered.
