“Local government most affects our lives. Let’s pay attention to it, and elect individuals who will truly represent you.  I promise to do that”, pledges Sarah Kincaid, who is running for Sequim City Council Position 2.

Sarah has worked through several challenges as a member of the Sequim City Council, voting on behalf of the people she represents. Most recently, she voted in favor of a Resolution in support of restaurants and bars and the constitutional rights of citizens.

Sarah voted twice to use rainy day funds to help small businesses and families, in Sequim, during Covid mandated shutdowns.

The longtime Sequim resident has shown strength and perseverance both in her personal endeavors and her commitment to the Sequim community.

Managing a local office for the California Teachers Association brought challenges and she has had much experience with problem solving, which is also required, on city councils.

The candidate also managed a quality control division for a large department store .

“I believe in transparency and accountability and serving the people of Sequim”, declares Sarah, who is a wife, mother, grandmother and was a dog show owner/handler for 40 years.

Sarah states, “if elected, I will work for; a 24/7 emergency care facility for fast response with a helicopter pad nearby;  Continuing outreach to bring more small and medium size businesses to Sequim for good employment opportunities for our citizens; Advocating for more affordable homes by promoting lower fees and fewer restrictive regulations; Maintaining our wonderful “small town’ atmosphere.”
