A Complaint for Declaratory, Injunctive, and Mandamus Relief was filed May 5, 2020 by Save our Sequim (SOS) Washington 501(c) (4) Corporation and Parkland Manufactured Housing Community LLC, a Washington Limited Liability Company.

The Defendants are the City of Sequim. The City is governed by a 7 member City Council and a Mayor who presides over the council.

The lawsuit addresses the process selected by City of Sequim regarding the project planned for the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe to develop a RREOA site into the “Jamestown S’Klallam Healing Campus”. They are requesting plans to develop the campus on more than 20 acres of property, above the Costco building, on South 9th Street. The lawsuit determines that the City of Sequim has chosen the wrong process.

The first phase of the proposed project is planned to mitigate out patient treatment services and supportive services. The project also includes a second phase In adding the addition of a 16 bed psychiatric inpatient treatment facility to the site.
