A press release from the County Commissioners states that on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 9 a.m., the Board of Clallam County Commissioners will begin their weekly Work Session which is usually held on Monday’s. Monday, being Labor Day with the courthouse closed, the work session will be held right before the regular public meeting at 10 a.m.
The public comment period during the regular meeting will be adjusted so that those that wish to speak will have a chance to do so.

Because of the expected number of attendees at that meeting on Tuesday, the public comment period with Dr. Berry will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and the Board of Commissioners from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

There will be limited occupancy, so plans will be in place for those wishing to speak to be allowed into the Commissioners meeting room through the exterior doors on the south side of the courthouse.

No access to the meeting will be available through the main entrance. Controls will be in place to allow limited numbers in to the meeting room to speak. A sign-up sheet will be available outside the meeting room to indicate a person’s desire to address the Commissioners. There will be audio speakers outside the courthouse so all can hear the proceedings of the meeting. The Granicus live streaming of Tuesday’s meeting is available through: http://www.clallam.net/features/meetings.html

Additionally, the Clallam County Courthouse will be closed Tuesday morning and will reopen at 1 p.m. that afternoon. Regular courthouse business will not be available during this time. Those with court related matters should go to the east side of the Courthouse, commonly known as the Sheriff’s Entrance. There, those needing to go to court will be given
access. Signs will be posted to help.

Other steps are being taken to accommodate the expected numbers of citizens attending.

Questions and comments can be directed to the Clerk of the Board Loni Gores at agores@co.clallam.wa.us or 360-417-2256.
